Himamshu Khasnis
Founder and CEO

Himamshu brings in an experience of more than 21 years in the Semiconductor Industry. Himamshu has played key roles in technology roadmap and new chipset definitions for 3G/4G/5G/DSL/WLAN/GNSS applications and has led the chip development activities for multiple successful market leading chips. After a successful career at TI and Ittiam, in 2010 Himamshu founded Signalchip, one of the very few fab-less semiconductor companies from India. Under Himamshu's leadership, Signalchip has grown from a garage startup with two people to a 40 people strong organization encompassing all competencies of SoC (System on Chip) development and has developed its first semiconductor chipset "Agumbe" for complex wireless networking standards. Such a device is a first of its kind to be made by an Indian Company. Himamshu specializes in optimal solutions for Communication/Signal Processing /Mixed Signal and RF architectures and has filed more than fifteen patents in these fields.

Rajesh Mundhada
Founder and VP, VLSI Design

Rajesh has over 17 years of experience in VLSI development and engineering management. Rajesh is an expert in complex digital IP and system on chip definition and development. Prior to Signalchip, Rajesh held various engineering and management positions at Texas Instruments, Infineon and Lantiq. Rajesh has played key roles in architecture definition and development of the Physical Layer, Networking accelerators aof xDSL/3G/4G/5G technologies . Rajesh is adept in digital development and has taken several multimillion gate designs to production with zero bugs. Rajesh has 4 international papers and has filled 5 patents in the areas of very high throughput, area efficient data processing architectures for digital communications systems. Rajesh was elected as a Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments. Rajesh holds a masters degree in electronics from REC Nagpur, India.

 

Kandasamy Shanmugam
VP, Software Design

Kandasamy brings 19 years of experience building and selling wireless communication systems. He is an expert in the domain of 2G/3G/4G wireless communications, is in charge of Software development and System integration at Signalchip and has filed three patents. Prior to Signalchip, Kandasamy has held key development and management roles at Sasken. Kandasamy has been the Program Manager for 3G product development activities at Sasken and has seen through the development and deployment of Sasken's 3G stack in commercial offerings of Tier 1 mobile handset vendors. Also, as a senior manager of Business Development he was responsible for defining, creating and managing value based Modem and Connectivity offerings at Sasken. Kandasamy holds a masters degree in computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India.
