On February 27, 2019, Signalchip unveiled India’s first semiconductor chips for 4G/LTE and 5G NR modems in the presence of Telecom Secretary Ms. Aruna Sundararajan in New Delhi. The SCBM34XX and SCRF34XX/45XX series of chips, code-named ‘Agumbe’, are the result of over eight years of relentless and deep R&D by Signalchip engineers.

In the event Signalchip unveiled four chips, SCBM3412: a single chip 4G/LTE modem including the baseband and transceiver sections in a single device, SCBM3404: a single chip 4X4 LTE baseband modem, SCRF3402: a 2X2 transceiver for LTE and SCRF4502: a 2X2 transceiver for 5G NR standards. The RF sections cover all LTE/5G-NR bands upto 6GHz. These chips also support positioning using India’s own satellite navigation system, NavIC. The Agumbe series builds up on SCRF1401: India’s first RF transceiver chip for high performance wireless standards like 3G/4G and WiFi, created by Signalchip in 2015.

Signalchip at DoT meet with Indian SMEs in Digital Communication Technologies

Himamshu Khasnis, Founder and CEO of Signalchip Innovations, presenting India's first semiconductor chip for 3G, 4G and WiFi networks, designed by Signalchip, to Ms. Aruna Sundararajan, Chairman DCC & Secretary (Telecom), at DOT meet with Indian SMEs in Digital Communication Technologies, held at ITI Bengaluru on January 22nd, 2019. Signalchip demonstrated its eNodeB  and showcased its indigenously developed systems at the event.
